FINAL RESULTS – THOUSAND OAKS OPEN

1^st Round: Sunset Hills Country Club - Monday, July 7^th

2^nd Round: Los Robles Golf Course – Tuesday, July 8th

After warmer temperatures at Sunset Hills on Monday, Tuesday afternoons cooler temperatures and breezes were a welcome by all.

Championship Boys: LIM MAKES IT TWO IN-A-ROW!

After a really solid 66, Thomas Lim of Moorpark struggled to a 74 but was able to hold off a charging final round 68 from Jeremy Sanders of Chatsworth and win in a playoff.

As players made the turn in the final round, Lim’s 3 shot lead had shrunk to one. Bobby Holden of Simi Valley started making things interesting by turning in 33 and trailing by one.

Daniel Slovis -1

Sanders and Holden took the lead on the 10^th hole after Lim faltered. Daniel Slovis of Woodland Hills made a charge and had a share of the lead with Holden and Sanders through 15-holes at -2. Lim made key birdies on the 15and 16 to take the lead, but a bogie on the final hole put him and Sanders into a playoff. With daylight running out, both Sanders and Lim had birdie putts on the first green. Sanders ran his putt about five feet past the hole. Lim rolled in the ten foot putt and earned the victory.

Championship Girls: MOLYNEUX MAKES IT THREE-IN-A-ROW!

Remy Molyneux from Westlake Village made came from three-strokes back to earn her third straight victory. Opening with six straight pars, Remy and Simi Valley’s Shannon Holden shared the lead and Katherine Liu of Agoura Hills was a shot back. Remy took the lead for good after making an eagle three on the par-5 12^th hole and finished with a 71. Defending champion Shannon Holden finished second shooting a 75. Katherine Liu shot a personal best 73 and Liz Cornelison of Westlake Village shot a 79 to finish in fourth.

Boys 12-14: HAYNES PREVAILS!

Bryce Haynes of Camarillo shot a solid 72 by making pars down the final stretch. Haynes started the final round one shot behind first round leader Jonathan Sanders of Chatsworth and tied with Brock Drogosch of Westlake Village and Chad McLay of Ventura. Top final round scores were Johnny Ruiz of Camarillo with a 71, Haynes and Alex Angard of Encino with 72, Joseph Ahn of Camarillo with 73, Brock Drogosch and Jake Andl of Westlake Village with 74.
