Second Round: River Ridge Golf Club (Vineyard Course)

Rain dumped on River Ridge overnight, but after a light shower on the first few holes, the wind blew the clouds blew away and the sun came out.  The course had a lot of casual water and played longer than usual.

Championship Boys (6,761 Yards - Par 35+37=72) :  Jordan Cuthbert of Camarillo played two solid rounds of golf in a variety of weather conditions and took home the gold medal.  His final round 74 was highlighted by 3 birdies!  Finishing in a tie for second was Jeremy Sanders of Chatsworth and Preston Walker of Oak Park.  Brett Silvernail of Ventura finished alone in fourth.

Championship Girls (5,188 Yards - Par 35+35=72):  Shannon Holden of Simi Valley nearly lapped the field shooting her second straight 36 on the front nine and finishing with a two day total of 158!  Making a comeback and finishing in second was Lauren Fodor, also of Simi Valley.  Sophia Chen of Newbury Park finished third and rookie Divya Manthena of Simi Valley was in fourth.

Boys 12-14 (6,299 Yards - Par 35+37=72):  Thomas Lim of Moorpark took home gold by making two key birdies in the final four holes.  Nearly keeping pace was Alex Angard of Encino who finished a stroke back.  In third place was Bryce Haynes of Camarillo with solid back nine play.  Finishing alone in fourth was Dirk Guthrie of Ventura.
