March 8, 2008 - Mountain View Tournament - Mountain View G.C.

Under beautiful sunny skies, moderate temperatures and mild wind gusts the Mini-Tour played it's third event of the year. The short Santa Paula course was made difficult by the firm, fast conditions.

GIRLS 10 & 11

Divya Manthena of Simi Valley wins her third straight gold medal shooting a 50 for nine holes. In second place the silver medal went to Kristin Diep of Oxnard.

BOYS 10 & 11

Earning his second victory of the year was Westlake Village's Spencer Soosman. His 39 was highlighted by two straight birdies on the third and fourth holes. In second was a VCJGA rookie, Brandon Pita, of Santa Maria (longest drive of the day). Winning the bronze medal was Worthan Kwan of Calabasas.

Q-SCHOOL

Six players set out today to gain status on the VCJGA Tour trying to match or better a target score of 48 today. Jake Andl of Westlake Village (already exempt) earned a point with a solid 44.
