March 29, 2008 - REMAX Classic at River Ridge Victoria Lakes

The day started with cool breezes with the warmth of the sun. As the afternoon progressed, a marine layer turned winds into a cold condition making the scoring conditions difficult. As usual, the River Ridge golf staff provided excellent conditions.

A big THANK YOU to our VOLUNTEERS that make tournaments successful and fun: Howard Van Zandt, Jeffrey Pink, Tyler Soosman, Captain Derek VanCamp, Nancy Wipf & Brett Silvernail.

It was very nice to see Dave Martin (father of Jefferson & Samuel) after a lengthy hospital stay. We wish him well as he continues his recovery.

GIRLS 10 & 11

Her fifth victory in five tries, Divya Manthena of Simi Valley shot a solid 43. Close behind shooting a solid 46 was Kristin Diep of Oxnard finishing second.

BOYS 10 & 11

Spencer Soosman of Westlake Village continues his mission finishing with his third victory in five events shooting a 46. In second place was Isaiah Tubbs of Moorpark followed by Samuel Martin of Ventura

BOYS & GIRLS 8 & 9

Ryan VanCamp of Ventura won his second gold medal of the season shooting a solid 53.

Q-SCHOOL (3 Points earns VCJGA Tour Status)

Six players set out today to gain status on the VCJGA Tour trying to match or better a target score of 49 or better. Earning one point each: Matthew Van Zandt, Thousand Oaks (48) and Gianni Pink, Calabasas (49).
