JUNE 14, 2008 - Elkins Ranch Golf Course

Many THANKS to Dan Hodapp, PGA and Chris Harvey, PGA and the entire staff of Elkins Ranch for their support of the VCJGA! The golf course was in great condition.

A big THANK YOU to our VOLUNTEERS that make tournaments successful and fun: Andrew Marder, Maurine Martin, Brett Silvernail, Dennis Warner, Miles Levy, Bernard Gross, Claudio Ponte & Jeff Hutchison for giving of their valuable time.

GIRLS 10 & 11

Rebecca Marder of Simi Valley edged Kristin Diep of Oxnard for the top spot.

BOYS 10 & 11

Jack Biwer and Spencer Soosman both of Westlake Village were tied after regulation play shooting solid 41's on the difficult front-nine. Jack Biwer earned the gold medal on the second playoff hole. Thomas Weaver of Westlake Village had another good week just missing the playoff with a 42. Other top scorers were Elias Gross of Calabasis and Brandon Pita of Santa Maria.

BOYS & GIRLS 8 & 9

Earning his second victory in two weeks, Garrett Camenker of Camarillo came out on top. Eric Triplett of Westlake Village earned the silver medal and Mike Pita of Santa Maria earned the bronze medal.

Q-SCHOOL (3 Points earns VCJGA Tour Status)

A season high ten players set out to gain status on the VCJGA Tour trying to match or better a target score of 49 or better. Victor Ponte of Camarillo (2nd Point), Nicholas Yapp of Oak Park (1st Point), Keaton Hutchison of Valencia (2nd Point) and Clay Levy of Simi Valley (1st Point) each earned points towards VCJGA Tour status.

PLAYERS: DON'T FORGET TO THANK YOUR PARENTS FOR THEIR LOVE & SUPPORT... YOU COULDN'T DO IT WITHOUT THEM!
