CODE of CONDUCT & CHARACTER	All players will need to sign the CODE of CONDUCT & CHARACTER before playing. Behavior will be strictly monitored and penalties given without warning. To download/print from the home page > Membership > The Code of Conduct & Character.
SPECTATOR CODE of CONDUCT	SPECTATOR CODE OF CONDUCT Parents and spectators are extremely important to the VCJGA; however, it is up to the hosting golf facility as to whether parents and spectators are permitted on the golf course and whether or not to charge a spectator fee. Please note that parents, guardians and spectators agree to let participants compete without giving any advice or counsel to them during the stipulated round (USGA Rule 8-1) knowing that a violation may cause a two-stroke penalty against their participant without warning. Do not put yourself in a position/situation that looks suspicious. Do not speak with the competitors as appearance of giving advice may cause a penalty to the participant. You may cheer for them, hand them a snack, drink, towel, etc... Spectators MUST remain on the cart path or in the rough at all times. (Keep off closely mown areas such as tees, fairways, approaches & greens). Remember to keep proper distance from all players (50-75 yards is recommended). Spectators cannot walk with players during tournament play. Spectators are not to give rulings on the Rules of Golf. You will be brought into a situation only if the Rules Official asks you. Alcohol, swearing or abusive language will not be tolerated. Cellular phones or beepers must be in VIBRATE mode while on the golf course.
