Many THANKS to Don and his staff for their support of the VCJGA!  The golf course was in great condition with sunny skies, warm tempuratures and cool breezes.
A big THANK YOU to our VOLUNTEERS that make tournaments successful and fun.
 
  • BOYS 10 & 11
Today Jack Biwer showed us how to get it done. After his tee shot on the seventh was found out-of-bounds. He remained focused and calmly took his penalty; returning to the teeing ground. By persevering and staying on task, he minimized the damage and went on to shoot a very strong 36 (+2) and win the tournament by five shots. In a two-way tie for second, Johnathan Nicholson and Brandon Pita each shot 41. Finishing in fourth was Elias Gross. This was Jack’s fifth victory of the season.
 
  • BOYS & GIRLS 8 & 9
Solid ball striking earned Matthew Mangawang his fifth victory of the season, shooting a 42. Three strokes behind was William Draper shooting a 45 and in third was Garrett Camenker with a 49.
 
  • Q-SCHOOL (3 Points earns VCJGA Tour Status) 
Nine players set out to gain status on the VCJGA Tour trying to match or better a target score of 48 or better.  Congratulations goes to Kristin Diep, Sean Crocker, Yujin Iwata and Matthew Maggay each earning thier VCJGA status.  Dylan Sloate earned his second point towards VCJGA Tour status.
