FINAL RESULTS - RUSTIC MOORPARK OPEN

Moorpark Country Club - Tuesday, June 24th

Championship Boys:

Kevin Santos of Thousand Oaks came out on top after winning the first playoff hole over Brandon Molnar of Calabasas and Jeremy Sanders of Chatsworth. Three players shared the lead after 27-holes on the difficult Moorpark Country Club course. Brett Silvernail of Ventura, Julian Ho of Simi Valley and Santos all stood at 4 over par for the tournament. Things began to change rapidly on the final nine as Molnar and Sanders made up some ground as Silvernail, Ho and Santos each began to make some mistakes. Sanders played the best over the final 9-holes, shooting even par and joining Molnar and Santos in the top spot. Other top finishers were Preston Walker of Oak Park and Shane Blanchard of Simi Valley.

Championship Girls:

Shannon Holden of Simi Valley successfully defended her title by shooting two solid rounds (76-77) on two difficult courses. Remy Molyneux of Westlake Village finished in second and Katherine Liu of Agoura finished third.

Boys 12-14:

Brandon Shaw of Westlake Village played the best round of the tournament in the first round by posting an even par round of 72. Although he struggled to a 78 in round two, he came out on top finishing with a four-stroke victory. Tied for second winning silver medals were Jonathan Sanders of Chatsworth and Stephan Moffatt of Simi Valley. Brock Drogosch of Westlake Village and Joseph Ahn of Camarillo finished tied for fourth place.
