The temperatures were in the upper 90's and the course played firm and fast.  Many thanks to Sheril Vargas and her staff for their kind hospitality.

Championship Boys:  WINCHESTER COMES OUT SHOOTING...AGAIN

Zack Winchester of Encino made it two-in-a-row by shooting a solid, one over par round of 73 on the difficult Nicklaus designed layout.  He made four birdies on the last 11 holes, including a birdie three on the challenging 18th hole.  Finishing in second place with three birdies on the day was Jake Silbereich of Agoura Hills shooting a 75 (+3).  Ricky Ulrich of Hidden Hills finished third making five birdies and finishing with a 76 (+4).

Boys 12-15:   MOFFATT EARNS THE "W"

Stephan Moffatt of Simi Valley has had a great year, minus one small detail... a Win.  Today he got it done by putting together a solid 76 (+4) on a difficult course, in difficult conditions.  He made birdie on the long ninth and followed that with an eagle three on the par-5 13th.  His Birdie on the difficult 18th clinched the three stroke victory.  Shooting a 79 (+7) and finishing in second was Oak Park's Alex Kim.  Placing in third was Sean Crocker of Westlake Village, shooting an 80.
