Rules of golf knowledge can only help you enjoy the game more.  Most of the difficult rulings get complicated because of a lack of general rules knowledge.

The Rules of Golf booklet - Knowing the rules of any game you play is important to your ultimate success of playing.  Basics for any golfer to review, study and understand:

1. Important to begin with Page 1 - How to use the Rules book...
2. Then the basics - Etiquiette and Definitions.  Once these are understood...
3. Start reviewing the Rules of Play.  Specific suggested Rules to cover first:

• Player's Responsibilites:  Rule 6 The Player, Rule 7 Practice, Rule 8 Advice
• Order of Play:  Rule 10 Order of Play
• Teeing Ground:  Rule 11 Teeing Ground
• Playing the Ball:  Rule 12 Searching for and Identifying Ball, Rule 13 Ball Played as it Lies, Rule 14 Striking the Ball
• The Putting Green:  Rule 16 The Putting Green, Rule 17 The Flagstick
• Ball Moved, Deflected or Stopped:  Rule 18 Ball at Rest Moved
• Relief Situations and Procedure:  Rule 20 Lifting, Dropping and Placing; Playing from a Wrong Place.  Rule 23 Loose Impediments, Rule 24 Obstructions, Rule 26 Water Hazards, Rule 27 Lost or Out of Bounds; Provisional Ball, Rule 28 Provisional Ball.

After reviewing the 17 Rules above, you are off to a great start leaving 17 more for a total of 34 Rules.  After reading the booklet cover to cover, you can begin reviewing the Decisions on the Rules of Golf book!
