FINAL RESULTS

Lake Lindero Country Club, Thousand Oaks - Par 29

The short, tight course turned out to not only test players direction off the tee, but the short game as well.  The weather was nice with warm tempuratures and the hospitality of PGA Professional Ron Cox and his staff was greatly appreciated.

Boys 10-11:  Welcome Back!  The first event of 2009 is in the books and it ended with an exciting birdie on the first extra hole by last years Player of the Year, Jack Biwer.  Spencer Soosman shot a 30 (+1) by starting his round off in style with birdies on two of the first four holes.  Then on the closing holes, Jack made his move playing the final four holes at one under, finishing with a 30 (+1) and catching Spencer.  Also in the chase was Matthew Mangawang shooting a solid 32 (+2) and Elias Gross carding a five over 34.

Boys/Girls 8-9:  Seldon Doyle came out on top today making two pars and shooting a 10 over 39.  Finishing in second with a 43 (+14) was Grant Drogosch.

Q-School:  Seven players set out today trying to shoot a target score of 38 or better.  One player, Tyler Barnett, earned a point shooting a 35 (+6).  Players earning three points qualify to move-up and play on the VCJGA Tour.
