FINAL RESULTS

Calabasas Country Club, Calabasas, CA - Par 36-36-72

The morning started with cloud cover that kept temperatures at bay until about 10AM when the high hit 96 degrees.  The course was in great conditions with fast, smooth greens.  Many thanks to Tom Fink, PGA and his staff for their kind hospitality.

Championship Boys:  WINCHESTER COMES OUT SHOOTING

Zack Winchester of Encino locked and loaded early with a birdie on the first and never looked back.  He followed that up with three birdies on the back side and outdueled the hot temperatures by firing an even par 72.  Finishing tied for second were Ricky Ulrich of Hidden Hills, Dirk Guthrie of Ventura and Taylor Stein of Newbury Park.  All three shot 74 (+2) with Ulrich making 15 pars.  Zachary Debruno of Thousand Oaks finished in fifth with a 75 (+3) and Jake Silbereich of Agoura Hills finished in sixth with a 76 (+4).

Championship Girls:  GOULD SURVIVES

Taylor Gould of Simi Valley earned a long awaited first victory by out-lasting the field and beating the heat.  In second place was Oxnard's Katie Rice and Remy Molyneux of Westlake Village finished in third.

Boys 12-15:   BHATIA EDGES CROCKER

Jaan Bhatia of Porter Ranch and Sean Crocker of Westlake Village were tied at the top, each shooting a 77 in regulation.  Bhatia edged Crocker by winning the first playoff hole and earning the victory.  His round was highlighted by three straight birdies on holes 13-15.  Crocker, who has two wins this season, finished second for the second time this year.  Tied for third were Brian Wipf of Ventura and Stephan Moffatt of Simi Valley, each shooting solid 78's.  Tied for 5th were Alex Kim of Oak Park and rookie, Elias Gross of Calabasas with 81's.  In a three way tie for seventh were Gianni Pink of Calabasas, Matthew Walling of Camarillo, and Sean Searl of Santa Barbara.  Rounding out the top-10 was Joel Wermter of Camarillo.
