Many thanks to Chris Vatcher and his staff for their kind hospitality.  The weather was warm with clear skies and some cool breezes.

Boys 10-11:    Elias Gross pared the final seven holes today to post a solid round of 73 to win the Ventura County Championship.  The victory was earned with consistent play that included only two bogeys over the final 13 holes.  Two strokes back in second place was Preston Smith shooting a steady 75.  Matthew Mangawang played through a martial arts injury to finish third with a 79.  Fourth place with a score of 83 went to Jack Robi.  Current player of the year leader, Jack Biwer had to withdraw due to illness.

Boys/Girls 8-9:   Seldon Doyle won the county today by six strokes with five pars and four bogeys, shooting a 38.  Tied for second was Grant Drogosch and William Draper, each shooting 44.  Tied for fourth found Ryan Mikles and rookie Matthew Pate.

Q-School:     Fifteen players set out today trying to shoot a target score of 44 or better.  The following players earned their third and final point and graduated to the VCJGA Tour:  Sam Morton, Parker Smith, Jamie Sullivan and Brett Townsend - Congatulations!   The following players earned a point today:  Charles Honig, Lucas Hsiong, Worthan Kwan & Luke Renish each earned their first of three points needed to qualify for the VCJGA Tour.
