FINAL RESULTS

Olivas Links Golf Course, Ventura, CA - Par 36

Many thanks to Carl and his staff for their kind hospitality.  The weather great with clear skies, moderate temperatures and cool breezes.

Boys 10-11:   Dominic Rector of Westlake Village has played in only two tournaments this year, but he made the most of his limited tournament play by winning both!  His one over par round of 37 was highlighted by birdies the sixth and eighth holes.  Finishing second with a 38 (+2) was Jack Biwer of Westlake Village.  He is the points leader and has eleven victories this year.  In third place with a steady 41 was Jason Dill who is also from Westlake Village.  Jason has had a solid season with two second and two third place finishes.  Tied for fourth were Matthew Mangawang and Matthew Wolff who were each involved in a playoff the week before.

Boys/Girls 8-9:   Justin Biwer of Westlake Village started playing with the VCJGA in June and has only played in four tournaments so far.  He earned his first victory by shooting a solid 46 (+10) on a difficult course.  Two strokes back in second place was Oak Park's, Austin Liu.  Austin has a victory and two second place finishes this year.  Nathan Hanretta of Simi Valley finished in third place for the third straight week.

Q-School:    Twelve hopeful players set out today trying to shoot a target score of 48 or better on a course that requires golfers to play a variety of shots.  Joshua Sudman, Tristan Gutierrez, Alexander Hood and Lucas Hsiong each earned a valuable point.  Lucas Hsiong earned his final point needed to graduate and is now eligible for the VCJGA Tour!
