FINAL RESULTS

Elkins Ranch Golf Course, Fillmore, CA - Par 71

Beautiful sunny skies and moderate temperatures were the order of the day... aside from the AWESOME cheeseburgers in the grill.  Many thanks to Dan Hodapp, PGA; Chris Harvey, PGA; Rich Boyd, Mike Nogovich and Doug Regan for their kind hospitality.

Championship Boys:  GAJEFSKI PREVAILS!

The Championship Boys division players seemed to be in a strange funk today.  The only players that posted a good score on their front-9 were Taylor Stien with a 36 (+1), Ryan Prosser and Nick Gajefski each had a 37 (+2).  Ryan and Nick made it a two-man race, both making birdies early on the second nine.  In the end, Nick finished the tournament off with a solid 35 (-1) over the final nine holes and finishing with a solid round of 72 (+1).  Two strokes back was Taylor Stien in second place and in third was Ryan Prosser.

Championship Girls:  CHEN MAKES IT TWO-IN-A-ROW!

Sophia Chen earned her second victory of the season by shooting an 80 (+9), highlighted by a seven hole stretch with six pars and one bogie.  Finishing in second for the second time this season found Remy Molyneux eaning another silver medal.  Santa Maria VCJGA rookie, Mareon Smit took home the bronze medal.

Boys 12-15:   DE LOS SANTOS DEFEATS PONTE IN PLAYOFF!

Justin De los Santos and Victor Ponte finished regulation play tied atop the leader board.  Each shot a solid 77 (+6) but need to wait for the rest of the field to completer their round.  Three players, Sean Crocker, Spencer Soosman and Jack Biwer each just missed a piece of the playoff shooting a 78 and finishing tied for third place and alone in sixth was rookie Willy Moffly.  In the end, Justin earned the victory over Victor on the second playoff hole with a par.
